Dale Brennan
(aka Mr. B)
Having grown up in the public school system, I was proud to then give back to my community by teaching in those same public schools for thirty years. For the last nineteen of those years I also served as the Social Studies department chairman. This position enabled me to not only have input, but to be a bridge between the teachers in my department and school administration. In addition, being department chairman allowed me to advocate for my students when it came to issues important to them.

Marching for equal rights
If elected to the School Board of the Gettysburg Area School District, my role will still be that of a teacher, an advocate and a bridge for our students. I see this as important for all School Board members as we prepare our children for what is becoming an increasingly competitive world.
I promise to focus on the following:
-
A safe, inviting and stimulating environment in which our students will develop the skills necessary to face whatever challenges they face in life
-
Spaces that encourage risk-taking, and allow our students to express their ideas in a nonjudgmental environment
-
An open line of communication between myself, students, parents, teachers and administrators in order to inform my positions.
-
Protecting student services by being fiscally responsible in the face of shifting national priorities.
